Happy Tuesday!
Good morning girls!
its a bright and sunny (and chilly) morning in. Northern Ny, where I am stationed during the week. Writing a quick message before I head to the client offices for the day. I'm often too exhausted at night to write but I am reading along. I figured I would start the thread today and then I will come back later to check in on you all.
I hope hope you all have a great, healthy and happy day! Back later.
love and light,
Christine

Good Morning Christine and OFF,
Christine, I am so happy that you stopped in to start the thread. It's always great when you post. We like knowing you are still doing well.
I posted a picture of my Dad and Colleen as my profile picture today. 38 years ago, he died suddenly. I miss him terribly, and absolutely hate October.
This morning, I get to go play with Franklin. Colleen has to go over to the kids' school to do some PTO work.
Must scoot.
Love,
Trish

Hello Trish....that is a really great picture of you and your dad. I am sorry he passed away at such a young age. It must have been heartbreaking for you. I understand why this is a difficult time for you. I am praying that you can find peace with this today.
I hope you had fun with Franklin this morning.
Love you .....hugs.....connie d
Good Morning Christine and OFF-
I bet it is chilly in Northern NY, we were getting colder in Maine the week of the move.
Well ladies, I arrived safely at my Mom's despite all the rain. South Carolina has been pounded by rain and travel there is dicey so may have to back track to avoid driving through South Carolina but I have over 5 days to decide.
Mom is well although I see more cognitive decline. Today I will take her to the urologist to determine whether there is anything that can be done about the incontinence. I ordered some adult diaper covers made of cloth that might help with the over flow. We'll see if she uses them.
She has signed a home health contract with the Home Care service at her facility to provide her with some transportation to do "frivilous" stuff like shopping or going out to lunch. She hasn't used it yet but she has signed the contract and commited to the charges as incurred. So I'll meet with the coordinator and probably schedule some trips for her.
We spent yesterday afternoon digging out the crocheted squares that my grandmother made for a second bed spread for my brother. She never finished it. My Mom made squares but her hand was looser that my grandmothers. So I think we have enough squares already made to fini**** The challenge will be how to use grandmother and mother squares. May be my sanity project for the time I am here. What I did discover is that there are actually three of these spreads. One my mother made in college. One my grandmother made for me and one that my grandmother and mother worked on for my brother.
So that's all from me. Jeannie- I am sorry you had to experience anaphylaxsis due to the peanuts in the cashew butter. That had to be scary. Your husband's transplant is this week if I recall so I hope your little scare isn't going to delay his transplant. Hope you are feeling better today. Mary- hope the blues are better today and as Vickie said one day at a time. Vickie - can't wait to see Pita's bear made from Butch's shirt. Connie- hope the weather remains mild so you can get outside a bit before the cold really descends. Eileen- delighted to see that you brothers shipment finally arrived. I must call today to see if mine is being loaded on the truck. Arlene- did Port St. Lucie experience any high water due to the hurricane or did it all go to South Carolina?
Hugs and thoughts to all of you.
Cindi B
Hello Cindi....I hope you can find another route that will be safer for you when you leave your mother's. It would be great if you can get her signed up to do a few things before you go. I hope the doctor can help her with her incontinence.
It sounds like that bed spread will be a fun project for you. I am sure you will get it together and looking great before long!!
I hope you have a great rest of the day!
Love you....hugs....connie d

Hi Christine and my OFF family:
It's my weekend and I'm up early so I can go to the Y. Then I have my last appointment with my therapist ... I have to find another because she's leaving her practice and I won't be able to hook back up with her until next year, if at all. I'll miss her. I'll have to see if our new provider will accept her.
I was going to make salsa chicken tonight but I don't have all the ingredients, so Gary and I were talking about what to have for dinner. He decided to cook up the pork sausage patties I took out of the freezer and the eggs we have and have breakfast for dinner. Sounds good! Tomorrow we're going to the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival. Big deal in Evansville. Hope my body will allow me to walk because there's a lot of walking involved.
Cindi, enjoy your time with your mom. Be careful driving around all that flooding. Carla, enjoy your Vinnie time and I hope your surgery goes OK.
It's 80 degrees today and sunny, a beautiful fall day. Good day to be outside. Have a good day.
Hello Eileen....I hope you enjoyed yourself at the Y today! I am so sorry you are using your therapist. There are a few of us now with new therapists. I hope you find a good one too.
Sometimes I just crave breakfast for dinner. I never cared for it early in the day. I want to get Jeannie or Vickie's Country Gravy recipe. There is nothing better then biscuits and sausage gravy!!
Have a great time tomorrow at the Festival!!!
Love you...hugs....connie d
Good morning our rock star Christine...and everyone.....
Christine...I am HAPPY to see you start the thread today!! I know how busy you are between the new house, the band and the job!!! Plus the NEW YOU!! You are really doing great!!!
I hope you have a fairly calm day today!!!
I love you bunches!!
As for me.... same old same old....nothing much changes.
Today Fran, my driver and errand lady comes to help me shop and also get groceries. She is so much fun. I just love Tuesdays!
I posted a pic on Facebook this morning of my grandson, Nic's 1971 Green Bug. Nic and his dad, Travis, tore that car down to practically nothing but a pile of parts. They put it back together and it looks awesome. This was while Nic was in his teens and still going to school. After he had another war with the cancer monster. Nic is so proud of that car. He takes it to car shows and things like that. He drives it around town now and then just to keep it running. YES, he took me for a few rides...OH MY GOODNESS.....I am still in recovery!! He has the loud exhaust pipes and the music blaring....that what he calls it MUSIC...LOL!!! He was always so sweet. I said you should be taking your friends around not your Nana. He says, NO you are my Nana and I want to be with you!!
I have my biggest Crock Pot full of Chili. I want it to slow cook all day. I will have some for dinner and freeze the rest. My freezer is getting filled up with some of my favorite meals.
Well I better go for now...I am showered but not dresses. I will check in later and read and reply to the other post.
Prayers for out special OFF Family and their families. Special prayers for Cindy and Ron P, also for Judy's sister, Bonnie and their mom. I continue to pray for Mary and Vickie as they struggle with their grief. I love you all!!!
I hope you all can get out and enjoy some of the beautiful Fall weather.
Loads of love and bushels of hugs to all....connie d
